I do not know what the problem is with this newer drive. I was able to read 3-1/2 HD floppy discs on my iMac using an external USB Toshiba Model PA31009U-1DD which is about 7 years old. Drive would not read any of my archived 3-1/2 HD floppy discs. External 3-1/2 floppy drive does not work with iMacs running High Sierra OS 10.13.6. ![]() The new media type has a block size of 512 bytes, so it can be used for duplication to or from RDX or flash media. In addition to adding support for container media with 7.2 TR5 and 7.3 TR1, it is now possible to add RDX and flash drive compatible virtual volumes to an image catalog that uses storage on the system disk units.
